With the weather warming it’s the perfect time for to organise outdoor play equipment. It’s sat around during winter and now is the time to give it a refresh. If you are wanting to prepare your outdoor entertaining area for the warmer weather too, we have the information for you here.
Here are your three steps to organise outdoor play equipment
Step 1:
Gather all the toys, sports equipment together.
They may be in one spot, but usually they are in several. They may be in an outdoor playbox, sandpit, shed or garage. Gathering them together allows us to see the quantity we have and if we have doubles of items we don’t need.
Step 2:
Assess and discard.
This is an important step. It allows us to assess what is no longer used and what has been outgrown. It’s also a step that children can be involved in. They often know what they like to use and what they don’t want to use.
What is no longer needed or wanted could be handed down to family, friends or be donated.
Discard any broken, damaged or worse-for-ware equipment.
Outdoor equipment weathers and will get damaged or broken. Discard these pieces for safety reasons.
Step 3:
The outdoor play equipment is now ready to be put where it is used.
This may be an outdoor playbox, a shelf at the back door, garage or back in the sandpit and cubby.
By annually organising outdoor play equipment you stay on top of accumulation and spread. Staying on top of accumulation and spread will stop clutter. Leaving you a space outside to enjoy and relax as the weather warms up.
Enjoy spring and time outdoors!
