Happy New Year!

With every new year comes discussions of what we are going to change and do. You might be planning a trip, study, to work on your health or be more organised.
It’s not uncommon for me to hear “I need to be more organised!” This is often said as the person runs from one activity to another followed by a “wake of stress” and items that can’t be found.

It’s exhausting!

Be more organised in 2019 by slowing down. Let me encourage you to give it a go. I know this sounds counter intuitive, but slowing down allows you to prepare for those busy periods. Time gives you the opportunity to prepare and finish a whole task. This allows you to step out with confidence knowing things are sorted and you can enjoy yourself without added stress.

Yes, you are right. You won’t get as much done by slowing down. You may even have to say “No” to people, appointments and gatherings. And that’s OK.

Time is your most important organising tool.

Benjamin Franklin said “For every minute spent organising, an hour is earned” What Benjamin Franklin is saying here is slow down, take the time to prepare and be organised. It will result in less stress and you will have sorted what you need for when you need it. This will save you time.  It’s a win, win outcome!

We can often feel the need to move faster in this fast-paced world. But I say “buck the trend and use your most precious organising tool: time”.
