Yay, you’re moving!

As Professional Organisers, we help many people declutter and move home. As you know, there is so much to do and think about.

To get you set up for success, here’s three “secret” top tips that will support you to prepare for your move. These tips are practical, easy to put into action, but often overlooked. When used, they will help nourish you through the moving process.

Arrange easy meals:
Good food is an important part for keeping energy and moral up. This time is packed with decisions and your brain and body need protein and nutrients to last the distance. Don’t let this fall away to the side. Fuel yourself!
You might organise a prepared fresh delivery or frozen meals. Know where you’re going to purchase your nutrient rich take away. This all helps with the last-minute decision on “What are we going to eat”
If you can, this might be a great time to book a meal at a friends or family home. That’s one meal you won’t have to think of.

Free up your diary:
This may sound self-explanatory, but it so often doesn’t happen. Preparing for a move involves a lot of time. Time to action things and time to take a breath so you can action things. Freeing up your diary of unnecessary appointments will allow you the time you need to move.
It’s a simple step but a vital step that will help you.
Once you’ve moved, you’ll be ready to fill your diary again!

Ask for help:
Ask for help from friends, family or a professional. When asking for help, set a time and date. A casual “yes we’ll come” isn’t time booked. Book time with your help so you know who and when help is coming.
This way you can plan to be on track and ask them to bring a meal too.  (A cheeky thought 😊)

These three easy top tips will help you be better prepared for your move and help make the moving process that much easier.

By arranging easy meals, freeing up your diary and reach out to book help you’ll be well on your way.
